A Chasidic and his PDA (Thursday, 6-18-09)
A Chasidic man and his PDA on the F train.
Guy most likely on his way to civil court with fake neck donut to press his whiplash case.

Black Perched Hat (Tuesday, 6-9-09)
Hasidic man reading on the 2 train. His black hat was perched over a red bag and it looked almost like he had a little sidekick, like an ultra-orthodox Cousin It.

Riding Home on the First of June (Monday, 6-1-09)
June colors on the 1.
Dozing off and involved in his iPod on the 2.
Spent the last few moments capturing this big hasidic man thumbing through tiny prayer book.

Couple of young Hasidic men on the 4. Caught the guy on the right between a few hand positions, he didn't have a claw....

Tuesday Morning Detour to Gowanus (4-1-08)
Had to run an errand B4 work over on 3rd ave.
Shared an otherwise empty car on the M to Union St. with these 2 orthodox women. The one on the left did most of the talking.
Afterwards walked up to Atalntic Ave. to catch 4 back to GC40Deuce. 2 ladies with lots of braids took little notice of me. This time it was the one on teh right who was chatty.
She was like a statue and here face had the look of being chiseled from stone, with very hard angled cheeks, chin and nose.
Last quick sketch as train roled into station. Have a hard time passing up drawing Hasidim. Not quite sure what he was doing, either writing or wrapping a present.

C'mon! You are Sitting on my Lap (Monday 2-4-08)
Running late this AM, so I got a seat at Borough Hall...
...-Hasidic man with super beard - ...
... -she had all sorts of intersting things going, bright red scarf, technicolor bag draping in all sorts of cool ways, great gestures-...
...so got a couple of nice drawings in. Unfortunately, crowd got a bit more crowded at Union Sq. There was like half a seat next to me and this woman decides she needs to squeeze in. Now I'm not one of those dudes who sits with his legs spread eagle, but at 6'4", 240 lbs I need a little space, especially when drawing, and she was 30ish and looked to be in good health, so not sure why she felt the need to crowd into tiny slot. So this last one was done in a bit of a cramped style. She got off one stop later, hope it was worth it lady....

Wed Rush Home on the Kiddie Car
Car was surprisingly empty on the way home, which some kids had taken advantage of to sprawl out all their paper and pencils and whatnot. Good they were doing their homework though...
Kids are super expressive, but unfortunately won't sit still for a second.
Hasidic man with a nice scarf, obliged me by standing relatively still for a couple of stops.
