Slow Thursday Morning From Union to Houston (7-16-09)
Slowness in the system at Union street, but it being late it was a nice peaceful place to hang for a little bit.
Atlantic waiting for the 2/3.
Just doing it.
Tourist lady in bright green polo traveling with teenage son and a bit of big city wonderment. Oddly her faced seemed younger than the rest of her. Small, thin woman with a hard chiseled features and a touch of sallowness pays no mind.
Very curly and pregnant on the 1.

Stalking Curly Haired Chick (Thursday, 1-15-09)
Trying to catch the pacing commuters on Union street platform.
Woman with awesome, big, fun, curly hair waiting on the D at Atlantic Pacific.
Huddling up on the D.
Ah-ha, there she is again. After the short sketch on the platform, I was goping to catch another drawing of her. With her crazy big hair, fur collar and pristine white coat and matching head band she definitely had the air of thinking she was the shit.

Late Thursday Morning, 1-8-09
Heads down at Union Street.
Bench at Atlantic Ave.
Just sacking out on the 2. She didn't just doze off either. She adjusted herself to get as comfortable as possible as if taking a mid afternoon nap on her couch with her dogs up on an ottaman.
Loosey at Chambers street.
Guy reading on the one, trying to draw around a guy who, on a nerly empty car, decided he needed to stand between me and my subject for the last 2 stops. I think he got a sense that he was in the way somehow, but instead of just clearing out he bounced around and remained in my way one way or another.

Late Monday Morning (12-15-08)
Just one of those days I just couldn't get going. It was 10 O'Clock before I got to Union Street, so the commute seemed to draaaaggggg.
Woman waiting at Union Street.
These 2 guys were catching zees together one stop on the R. One wa waring a much bulkier jacket that this 60 something degree day called for, so I was thinking he was either working at night outside somewhere or maybe him and his buddy (i can only assume they were cause tey were bothe crashed out in a similar way) had been rocking it hard til the break of dawn. His buddy was wearing a cheap suit though with a distinctive mustard tie (kinda reminded me of what the brothel manager in Taxi Driver was wearing - ya know the guy who got his fingers shot off by DeNiro), so who knows what they were really doing.
The shape of this mass of unruly white and grey hair on the 2 was difficult to capture as every move sent it into another fleeting form.
Pen died. Luckily I found an old brown pastel in my bag and decided to bust out the fruity smelling orange marker for good measure.

Complement Riding Over the Manhattan Bridge on the N (Tuesday, 11-11-08)

Thursday, 10-23-08
Squatted him a bit to fit him in frame.
Businessman of south asian descent with a proper ponch to complement his fine moustache.
Pacific street.
Sprawled out and napping on the D, woman on left seemed slighly perturbed to be relegated to relatively small amount of bench real estate as she was trying to jot down some notes.

Thursday Morning, 10-16-08
Quickie on the platform at Union Street.
Warm enough still to show a little man cleavage while reading on the R.
Been catching the N lately if it rolls in first at Pacific street. It flies the one stop to Canal making up for the hike I need to take over to Hudson street, but leaving me time for only one, maybe two quick sketches as opposed to the chuggier B or even D.
