Bad Trip Back from the BK (Tuesday, 8-9-11)

Back in NYC for a few, took the opportunity to take Griff to see his doc at Grand Army while we were here. What shoulda been an easy ride back to the UES turned into a major whiny mission. Griff temporarily quelled by Twizzlers.

Planned on grabbing the 4/5 at Nevins for the ride up to 86th, but it was not meant to be. At Nevins announced that some knucklehead train was broken down at Wall st, sending everyone West. Griff was already in rare form, and by the time the 2 hit Manhattan he was already breaking down. The sugar rush wearing off as I dragged him off the 2 at TS42nd, up to the shuttle, across to GCFortyDeuce, and finally boarding a mosh pit 6 train up to 86th and Lex. All in all a pleasant 90 minutes of transit. Thanks MTA! Its good to be back home.

Giant Blond Fraux-Hawk on the R Train (Tuesday, 6-7-11)

It was large, not sure this drawing does it justice. Especially atop a woman with a frame as slight as hers. Guy on left (see the arm) observed my rendering as he exited a couple of stops before my Union Sq. destination - babbling something semi-coherent to me which I couldn't tell if it was praise, disparagement or a little bitta both. Sleeping asian man behind her oblivious to all but remerkably awoke to his deep slumber just at his stop.

Soft and Hard Patterns on the Q Train (6-1-11)

Fun with hard green and black pattern against a nice, intense face - contrasting the softer woman in the bg with the almost-hospital-scrubs-like pale blue and pink in the background. Having fun with a china marker on a steamy evening to start off June.

When Trains Go Loco, Tourists Get Confused (Monday, 5-9-11)

Two Euro tourists trying to figure out what the hell is happening when an a Q train goes local to Manhattan, running on the R line. Blankly studying the map, they then exited at Rector or City Hall, most likely not their intended destination. Hopefully there was an H&M nearby.

Intense Faces and Blank Gazes on the N Train (Tuesday, 5-3-11)

F Train from 14th street/6th Ave (Monday, 5-2-11)

Dad from a dad-mom-college age son trio. They all had a very severe look like you couldn't believe they ever smiled or were happy. Looked like mom and pops were probably from South Asia and visiting the boy at college - at least thats the vibe I got.

Monday Morning Waiting on the Q at 7th Ave and Flatbush (5-2-11)

Two very different styled ladies but both with an added twinge of unnatural red in their hair. For that brief ride their universes converged - perhaps they shared some styling tips.

Uptown to Check the Mail (Tuesday, 4-27-11)

Being the passover shlepper that I am, had to run uptown after work to check the rents mail whilst they frolic in the holy land. Woman in bright pink puffy jacket amongst the riders of the uptown 5 train.

Back up at 86th street (Lexington) waiting on my ride back to the BK.
