Big Bouncy A Train to Canal Street (Friday, 6-11-10)

I used to ride the A train from High Street often back when I lived in BK Heights. I kinda miss the crowded energy and its high speeds which cause all sorts of bouncing up and down - adds a certain character to the drawing.

Connected to the A at Hoyt Schermerhorn from this much lower key G headed to Queens.

Transit Worker Late night on the A (3-20, well actually 21, -10)

A mass of bright orange and yellow over black hoodie.

It's a Saturday Night (3-20-10)

Riding in to the meatpacking district for some bachelor party fun. There were guys showing of their biceps on the G from 4th ave.

Tall leggy brunettes waiting on the A at Hoyt Schermerhorn.

And an array of folks including a little girl out a little late on the A to 14th street.

Woman With Lotsa Luggage on the A (11-16-09)

Cool Fro-Hawak, Some Grumpy Ladies and More on the F to the A Route (Wednesday, 1-6-10)

A from West 4th to Jay Street Borough Hall, as it was sitting on the platform when i walked down and saved me the descent down 2 more levels to the INDs. Digging the intricacies of the hairdo as well as the punkrockedness. Ladies on the right yammerring grumpily in Spanish, seemingly talking mad sh*t about someone.

Hopped on the F for the ride to 4th Ave, kinda butchered the woman on the left, she was actually prettyish but just had very hard features and was making a puss - she she got gas-faced?

Two Women from 4th Ave to Spring Street (Tuesday, 9-1-09)

On the G train thin woman with extremely fair complexion, reminded me of that movie Orlando.

Switch to the A at Hoyt Schermehorn, wearing the stripes.

A second looser take on her, the truth may actually lie in between.

My Finger Hurts (Thursday, 7-9-09)

Taking advantage of the new extended G service, hopped a G at 4th ave with my mysteriously infected middle finger making sketching just a bit painful.

Switched at Hoyt Schermerhorn to grab A. Spent the time on the platform trying to sketch this constantly rotating yet wonderfully curvy woman rocking the Ed Hardy.

Seemed a nice enough guy despite his Coopish resemblance to Satan.

Back to BK for the Movie Premiere (5-4-09)

I wrote 3 but it was actually the A. Got off at High Street and walked down the hill to catch the Ami Underground doc at the Galapagos Art Space, quite a sheeshy joint for a 12 minute short.

Saturday Afternoon Ink Run on the A (2-21-09)

Dropped the Griff off at playdate in DUMBO and caught the A to get some ink at J and R. This group of tourists had obviously accomplished the near-impossible-for-out-of-town-visitors feat of finding the High street station from the Brooklyn bridge.

On the way back someone smelled like the shaving cream from a barber shop. Don't think it was this guy though.

I Was Shvitzing this AM on the A from Jay St, to West 4th (Wednesday, 6-25-08)

Hope no one drew me and the gigantic sweat pit across my chess after I hoofed it over to Metrotech before work to hit the Keyspan office for some biz....

Fun on the A to 5 Combo (6-10-08)

Expressive couple on the High Street platform, 10 seconds later they were fondling each other...

She probably wasn't into new wave, but it did bring me back to '85....

Woman sundress reading on teh Fulton St, platform. She had her moth gaped open in a funny way, like she was thinking about something odd and it was subconciously translating to her expression...or maybe she was trying to catch flies froggy style.

Recently permed....

Stopped at Pearl for Some Sculpy (Wednesday, 6-4-08)

A rather unhappy non-descript structure on the High Street platform.

Monster headphones on the A.

Peering through bars on the 6.

Thursday Morning A to the 4 (5-15-08)

Fidgety teenager caught in a contemplative pose.

Big man with a baby face and lots of golden locks.A very Bumpy ride, was like the A was being chased by Rosco Pico Train...

Started on the Fulton platform, finished on the 4 drawing random folks....

Biggish hair on the A train to BWAY Nassau.

Fun again with hair on the 4 train.

Its Raining, So I Gotta Pick up the Boy (Friday, 5-9-08)

Bushy hair and Beard with vest look, he missed his calling as a Sweathog I think...

This guy's look was out of control, he almost looked like 4 different people sewn together into some weird Frankenstein creation. His eyes were closer together though - that's just the fault of the seem.

Quickie on the BWAY Nassau - High street leg of the journey.

Thursday Morning (5-8-08)

A Train, High ST. to BWAY Nassau

This dude had the most perfectly round head I've ever seen, curse the crease of my book for ruining it!

A train High to Broadway Nassau (with a touch of soy sauce).

Not chilling on the 4 to GC40Deuce...

Wed. Mornin (4-30-08)

Dropping in a little color, composite of guy at High St. station and the A between High and Broadway Nassau.

2 seconds on Fulton St. platform.

4 train...

Young woman with big earings and little tiny hearts on her sweatshirt.
