Upper East to Park Slope on a Saturday Night (9-15-12)

Back in the city - waiting at 86th and Lexington on the BK bound 4 to see some peoples out in the slope.

Big crowd on the 4, dig drawing the workman vest.

More 4.

Switch to the D at Atlantic rode it local style down to Prospect Ave for some beerlarity at Freddy's.

Lonely Platform and Camper Crossing the Manhattan Bridge (Tuesday, 7-7-09)

As I exited the R at Atlantic-Pacific, a N train pulled in. The platform emptied into the N, leaving just me and another lone commuter at the end of the platform alone on the platform. D showed up shortly though, so I wasn't lonely too long.

Sleepy, red shirted camper heading to Manhattan on the D.

Riding the Manhattan Bridge (Friday, 3-27-09)

Picking up some quick gestures at Union street.

Grizzly old dude staring into the car as we ride the bridge into Manhattan. His grizzled features were quite a contrast to the bright blue fleece pullover he was wearing which looked as if it was given out free at a country club event.

D train rolling into west 4th street.

Way Home (Wednesday, 1-22-09)

Platform at West 4th.

Lotsa heads down on the D.

Quickly populating platform at Atlantic/Pacific.

With hair pulled back tight, powder pale skin, dark fur and white iPod she was striking and a little scary.

Stalking Curly Haired Chick (Thursday, 1-15-09)

Trying to catch the pacing commuters on Union street platform.

Woman with awesome, big, fun, curly hair waiting on the D at Atlantic Pacific.

Huddling up on the D.

Ah-ha, there she is again. After the short sketch on the platform, I was goping to catch another drawing of her. With her crazy big hair, fur collar and pristine white coat and matching head band she definitely had the air of thinking she was the shit.

Sleeping on the D (Monday, 12-8-08)

With the wife on the train so not much drawing this AM, but caught this dude snoozing between Grand and BWAY Lafayette

Pretty in Black (Monday, 11-3-08)

Happy Birthday Griff!

Chasidic man rocking the Black Hat like Ducky in Pretty in Pink, listening to a little MC5.

M train.

Interesting jacket next to frat hoodie.

Pain, Makeup, and a Square Jaw (Monday, 10-27-08)

Quick study of woman who seemed deeply pained, as if she was constantly on the verge of tears.

Woman applying makeup as if she was in the girls bathroom, not on the platform at Pacific street. Tough looking (in and old school, square jawed way) guy, no doubt on the way to his job on the docks.

Thursday, 10-23-08

Squatted him a bit to fit him in frame.

Businessman of south asian descent with a proper ponch to complement his fine moustache.

Pacific street.

Sprawled out and napping on the D, woman on left seemed slighly perturbed to be relegated to relatively small amount of bench real estate as she was trying to jot down some notes.

Characters on the D and at Atlantic-Pacific

Later, again on the D, woman on right was suspicious.

Hiding under your bangs makes you hipper.

Why is Your Bag Looking at Me? (Friday 10-17-08)

Its gotten chilly this AM so this guy on the R has a shiny new baseball cap a few sizes too big to ward off the cold. Woman at Pacific Street decided that the vest with thermal underneath was the move.

Couldn't tell from the back if she was a young popped-out japanese (as the red streaked jet black hair would suggest) or a quirky older woman (hinted at by mauve knit shawl). Not pictured were her big, round thick sunglases. Turned out she was somewhere in the middle.

M-D Voyage to Infinity (Wednesday 10-15-08)

Listening to some Bad Brains on the...

...M to Pacific and the...

...D to west 4th. Tiny Asian woman who was holding her own in this mosh pit of a car.

Friday NIght and Park Slope Bound (10-10-08)

Very black beard on the D and BADASS man in black on the west 4th platform.

Sour faced woman became quickly obscured by crowd so i dropped her on a poster behind these much jollier looking fellas.

Woman who was making the worst puss on the Pacific street platform, should have showed her and told her to smile. Woman on R looked better in a slight melancholy.

Celebrity Look a LIke Sighting (Wednesday 10-8-08)

A semi google-doll-do on a cheerful young fellow - west 4th.

Don't know where he was going, but I'm sure it was so far away.

Grizzly fellow who bore a resemblance to a disheveled Tom Skerrit, course haven't seen Tom working lately so maybe-

Pink Sweatshirts and Annoying Conversations, Union Street to West 4th (Tuesday, 10-7-08)

Her grimacing and weathered appearance contrasted nicely with her relatively pristine, bright pink sweatshirt.

Dude crouching and reading behind his shopping cart filled with who knows what, Pacific Street.

For some reason the way these 2 were conversing on the D (don't know why I wrote B) irritated me - not really anything but a viceral, everything irks me, reaction on a stressful morning - wonder what the slick guy next to them thought.

Half of teh irritating duo again on the right, this time in a bit more of a caricature. Sleepy dude on left was getting a little bit of a cubist facelift.
